New franchisees receive extensive training at Wag University, where they learn the pros and cons of owning a Wag N ‘Wash, plus 10 days worth of hands-on training in one, during an intensive 7-day session at our Colorado headquarters our company-owned locations immediately before opening our own shop!

Are you worried that your company support will dry up as soon as the initial training is completed?

Franchisees receive “guide dogs” to assist and assist with nearly every aspect of owning and operating a Wag N ‘Wash, not to mention quarterly visits from our field support team and an annual visit from Top Dogs Wag N’ Wash President Rob Flanagan !

Each franchisee receives a dedicated marketing support expert who will work with you to create robust marketing calendars, coordinate local advertising campaigns, organize fundraising drives and special events, and much more!

History:

As early as 1998, Dan Remus and Jef Strauss lived a fast-paced corporate life in which they had to leave their aging Dalmatian Geni alone in the house for much of the day.

They decided to start a company that would give them financial support while also allowing them more time to spend with her.

After much work, deliberation and planning, Wag N ‘Wash opened its doors in 1999 as a self-service dog wash and biscuit bakery with the aim of recognizing, promoting and promoting the positive effects pets have on their owners.

The best part? You could take Geni with you every day to work with them!

Dan and Jef’s small 1,500-square-foot store immediately picked up speed and began looking into other underrepresented sectors of the pet care market, particularly natural pet foods. Dan and Jef couldn’t find a store that satisfied their desire to feed Geni foods free of corn, wheat, soy, and artificial preservatives.

With this unmet pet need, they decided to pioneer the healthy pet food industry and add new services to Wag N ‘Wash, including full-service grooming.

After expansion, the Wag N ‘Wash brand became well known in the communities in which they operated and Dan and Jef received franchise inquiries. They awarded the first Wag N ‘Wash franchise in 2006 and have since focused on methodical and strategic national expansion.

The goal of Wag N ‘Wash Franchising is to ensure that pet owners across the country have a place to wash, feed, pamper and love them!
