What 2015 Taught Me About Doing Business

There are only a few days until the end of this year. In less than we enjoy a tamale or give each other a Christmas hug, these 365 days will be over to make way for the next round of opportunities.

For me this year has been very special. I have learned many things of great value and I want to share with you a little of what 2015 taught me about do business.

  1. Not everything will always turn out as you plan. Many times things don’t go right the first time. Sometimes they don’t go well even on the first few tries, but sooner or later the good comes and that is why all the effort put into a business is worth it.
  2. Businesses change. Technology, the Internet and the digital environment have transformed the way of doing things in all areas of life. We can resist change or we can jump into the water once and for all and take advantage of everything that new technologies offer us. Business changes, the way of doing business too.
  3. The principles don’t change. While the form may change, the essence remains. People still love speed, good customer service, innovation, and good ideas. If we apply this on a day-to-day basis, our businesses will always go smoothly into good waters.
  4. People make the difference. This 2015 taught me that do business it has to do with people. Meeting people, networking, opening your mind and shaking hands can be the best way to find the best business opportunities.

Finally, I, Edwin Amaya, continue to believe that the great secret to success in life and in business is to entrust my steps to the creator and trust that the universal principles of life do not fail either.

So while the bells and firecrackers are ringing, I send you a big hug and my best wishes that 2016 will be a source of great opportunities for you and your family.

And what did you learn in 2015 about do business?
