2 Entrepreneur Success Cases

Some time ago – to be exact more than a year ago – I published an article based on the story that a reader friend of the blog shared with us. This was the success story of José Ríos and how he started a small company to manufacture biodegradable bags.

Today, I am happy to share 2 more cases of entrepreneurial success of the many that I receive through the different means by which they write to me. The special thing about these stories is that they have to do with ordinary people, like you and me, whose strength comes from within and from their enormous desire to achieve it. They are people willing to learn and whose perseverance makes them unique.

I am sure that these words will motivate you as much as they have done me. I transcribe them literally.

Case 1: Sale of Ecological Bags on the Internet, Michael Monge, Costa Rica

Hello, very good, I greet you from San José, Costa Rica first of all I want to thank you for the blog or business website. It is a very useful resource today that things are getting more and more difficult economically.

I would like to start by telling you about my personal experience regarding my business that I currently manage, and all thanks to one of the ideas that you can see on your site web 1000 Business Ideas

One day like many I was in the office, I have always had the concern of having something of my own or some Extra money apart from what I get for my work. In that situation I was, and searching the Internet work or business from home I came across your website.

I found the ideas and advice on the page interesting, so I continued to explore the content further and carefully review the ideas one by one, until a particular idea definitely caught my attention, which I will detail below: getting started a small business (real case).

I analyzed it carefully and I started to think why not? Whenever I went to my work there are several supermarkets and in them are the famous walmart bags etc. and I thought … it would be a good idea to make less commercial and more personalized bags.

This was in June 2011, I came home and I still had the idea of JOSE RIOS in my head. The next day I started, arrived at my office and started looking on the Internet, companies or people who were dedicated to this type of business, and I was pleasantly surprised that there were none (companies or people, or ads in the classifieds) that would enunciate this class of services.

Had companies but of plastics and ecological paper which I saw that the market was very saturated, but luckily not with REUSABLE FABRIC BAGS.

So I started to come up with some ideas of how I could start with this great idea and meet the needs of many, starting with 100 units up to 500 maximum.

So taking advantage of my knowledge in web design and SEO (web positioning) I started with a blog but since I did not have much time to elaborate it because of my work, I did it little by little. But I did start advertising my services as a manufacturer of eco-friendly bags in free classifieds.

And to my surprise it was almost immediately that people began to ask me questions and ask me for quotes, but since I was not so in depth on the subject, at first I lost several clients who wanted me to come to their office etc.

One reason was for fear and another for lack of knowledge on the subject. So I wasted no time and started looking for local suppliers, I started to quote the raw material for the elaboration of the personalized bags. But like everything else, I had trouble finding a good silkscreen that would give the job an impeccable finish.

And since I had no sewing knowledge at all, I found out from my relatives and one of my cousins had a sewing degree so I asked her if she wanted to work on this and she immediately agreed to the offer.

But in order not to make the story longer, my first job came out 30 days after I started making the publications in the classifieds. It was 100 reusable bags with the company logo. Then the demand for the bags began to increase by 200 400

To date I have made more than 10,000 units, the largest work has been one of 4000 units, which we finished in April of this year, with which a contract was signed for the sum of $ 5400 usd and I had a net profit of $ 3500 usd

This idea has made me more money than what I would have earned in 12 months from my job.

Currently I also have my office job and the business of ecological bags, so I get 2 salaries 🙂

I currently receive 5 to 20 quotes a day. I leave my information and a thousand thanks,
Michael Monge

Case 2: Fruit Arrangement Business, Dipcy, Venezuela,

Hi Edwin. My name is Dipcy and I am from Vargas, Venezuela. I am a Bachelor of Administration and I am currently working as a Principal Cashier in a bank in my country.

As you know, the economic situation here is a bit unstable and, therefore, the income is only enough for the basics. Because of this, I decided to enter the semi-informal economy, without leaving my job, of course.

My story like independent entrepreneur It started a few months ago, when I started making fruit arrangements for all occasions. At first I didn’t know where to start, much less what tools to work with. I experimented with various bases of arrangements until I found the right one, continuing to prepare the orders of my clients (my co-workers, initially).

I got a lot of help on the Internet and with the information that this tool gave me, I managed to find a person who teaches fruit arrangement courses, which I attended.

The result: it helped me to polish and enrich my knowledge on the subject and, coupled with this, to encourage my friends to develop this activity that has allowed us generate that extraordinary income that we need so much today.

It all started with the economic situation that I am going through, and in the final I ended up liking it so much that I even made a special one to give to my entire team at the Bank, who were very happy and satisfied with the quality of my work that they have even recommended to me with their friends and many more requests keep coming in.

Any advice ?: Perseverance, perseverance and desire to grow.
Greetings.

conclusion

And of course, I would love to hear your story!
